So, there appears to be no 364. I actually missed 163, but found something I could use for that day.

So, I wanted to take a nice self portrait for the last day of the year. Unfortunately, it’s so hot that I’m sweaty and red and that idea went out the window!

This project has been so fun (although there have been momentary lapses in concentration and inspiration) but I really feel like the quality of my images has improved overall. I definitely prefer the photos I’m taking now, and I’m enjoying it way more too. Almost certainly going to just carry it on anyway.

This is an awful photo. The minimum focus distance (even at 28mm) of the lens I have on loan is just longer than my arms, so even though I got the "everything’s fine" double beep, there doesn’t appear to be a focal point here. Oops.

After getting sick of the upkeep of a handlebar, I decided to wipe the slate clean. I’ve not seen my face for a little while, and my winter weight appears to be leaving, so so can my winter plumage!

Pens down! Today totally zipped by. All I did was play video games, which is fine I guess. Thinking of a photo totally escaped me, but I haven’t taken proper ones of my dreads for a while so here it is—2 years, 2 months. I am totally in love with them now!

So, time for a bit of self indulgence. I know I’ve been really lacking on the photos front this week. I’m finding it really difficult to make time for this at the moment, but I’m so far in I don’t just want to drop it. I think next year I’ll just try to take an amazing photo once a week. At the moment, that seems to be what I’m hitting, but I don’t think that 1 in 7 keepers is that bad, it’s just a bit of a waste posting photos I’m not really happy with, just for the sake of a day. I guess it inspires me to make my words for the day better (it rarely turns out this way!).

I love to take portraits. I think I’m getting better at self portraits; I definitely have a “side” – my piercings side. I’m going to do a run of portraits soon – there are a lot of people in our building who are really photogenic and seeing as that’s where I spend most of my time, it sorta makes sense. I really need to get the balls to actually approach people I think would take a good photo. The worst they can do is say no. Well, actually, the worst they could do is kill my family whilst they force feed me cheeseburgers and have fruity boys put things in me. Maybe no is second worst.
