If you’re wondering how I feel about my latest purchase, my SC-29 off-camera-flash-enabler, it looks a little like this:
If you’re wondering how Charlotte feels about it (and, indeed any other photography-related purchase I make), it looks something like this:
CLS is awesome, and and off-camera master gives you so much more freedom to experiment with shadows than using the built-in pop-up as the master. I am very pleased, and will be overusing this greatly in the near future. See more from this evening’s photoshoot at flickr.
Every now and again, we get a visit from Mirko. He’s always good for slating rubbish metal bands and making me wish I was in Finland for the saunas or Italy for the driving.
You know what it’s like. You’re moving house, your girlfriend makes up a box and calls you into the room. You go into the room and she’s in the box, giggling like she invented the concept. Naturally, you grab your camera, and the flash going off makes her even more aware of how funny the situation is. You decide that the only way to take her down a peg and make your afternoon bearable is to capsize her.
So, after too much time on GT5, we trekked into town. Just as we hit the cross-road by KFC, the army arrives in town. Perhaps they went for some shopping, we don’t know, but we do know that they brought a marching band with them. Which was nice. I love Southampton for random stuff like this. There’s pretty much always something cool going on in the centre on a Saturday.
I love about this shot that the Colonel seems to be presiding over the whole thing. That juxtaposition was entirely intentional. Promise.
My girl knows I want to play MGS4 tonight (although sitting watching rubbish on TV is just as inviting a concept) so she drew a tache on her finger and let me take pictures of her being silly. This doesn’t happen often so I’ve fully taken advantage. Look at those big eyes!
