Something that’s harder than it looks. Will probably be much easier when I can put Leica glass on the X-Pro1 and zone focussing becomes a lot easier/more visual.

When I was a kid, we always had video games. The first I remember owning was a MegaDrive. It was great, but I really wanted Nintendo (aren’t kids great?). One year, we got a SNES and it was the best thing ever. Super Mario World, Super Soccer, Street Fighter, Zelda. Childhood hours, gone. Probably explains a great deal about my social ability.

For some reason, I can’t remember why, my dad sold the SNES and I always missed it. Sega started to systematically destroy Sonic and themselves and I wanted my SNES back. So whimsically, drunkenly, nostalgically on Saturday night (Charlotte’s birthday, if you’re keeping track) I decided to bring the SNES back into my life. I’m awaiting A Link to the Past, which should keep me quiet for a while (I never did finish it).

I bought the Super Scope because it’s so badass and I loved it before. Although I’m not even sure that it works on LCD screens. (Update: it doesn’t. Oops.)

For the record, I loved the Saturn. Still do. But it was one of the bigger nails in Sega’s console coffin

It’s quite British to talk about the weather, but I am British so here goes.

Man, this is some bad weather we’re having. Ripping trees out of the ground! Kinda heartbreaking to see loads of homeless ducks and geese sleeping on the grass – poor little buggers. Walking around taking photos of these things, I did become quite quickly aware that I was standing under trees, the neighbours of which had been ripped from the ground in the last eight hours. It made me feel less smart.

Been feeling super uninspired lately. Not even really taking my camera with me anywhere. Had a generally passive few weeks; riding, reading, gaming, watching way too much TV, listening to all the music. As soon as I get into a bit of a groove with taking photos, I seem to get bored of it and do something else. Stupid brain.

If anyone wants to do anything camera-related soon, let me know. I want to do something, but motivation is low.
