moviepeg keyring

Being a testosterone-fuelled, red-blooded, kitten-loving male, I’m always drilling holes in things. Sometimes I’ll carry a drill round with me all day and, if something doesn’t have enough holes in, I’ll be drilling ’til it does.

All that destructive drilling builds something inside of you. For years, I’ve longed for a constructive outlet for my drilling. “Put some shelves up”, the wife cries. “Hang that picture”. It’s never enough. Now I feel I’ve come across the very reason, not only for my drilling obsession, but for the invention of the drill itself. No longer will I accidentally leave my moviepeg on my desk. No longer will I have to stand my bag on the table on the train like an idiot, just to get my phone in the correct position to watch some TV. No longer will slight neck ache plague my every use of public transportation. For now, my moviepeg is everywhere that I am.

Unless I forget my keys. Shit.

Custom Ordering of WordPress posts.

I seem to be becoming the go-to guy for WordPress in my circle of friends. I don’t mind—I’ve grown fond of pulling apart other people’s code, and the monster that WordPress is always makes that interesting.

Last night, I was asked if I know how to order posts differently in The Loop. I don’t trust The Loop. I much prefer to use WP_Query, as I feel more in control, but my friend had already written a lot of functions that seemed to depend on using The Loop, and I’ve never been one for rocking the boat where live code is concerned!

It’s been literally minutes in the making, but it’s here. Now with lovely added templates, to save you lazy people even more leg work, you can do things like:

Western Digital Drive Manager icons

If you’re anything like me (and if you’re a Mac user, chances are similarities exist!), your computer is just the way you want it. Depending on how finicky you are, your icons are just so, your desktop is carefully chosen and anything that could potentially upset that ranges from a chronic annoyance to wildly enraging.
