No-one believes me when I say that mushrooms are evil. They look nice, sure, but they’ve got the texture of rubber and they taste like weird stuff so they’re evil.

I didn’t post a picture of the sick, though.

I got these – they’re pretty fun. You have to do this ghetto mod to your flashgun with a couple of thin strips of velcro. I like the light gold one, it’s kinda sepia-ey but only really subtle. I used it on the mushrooms to bring out that nice brown colour. The paler ones I think will be really useful, but I’m not sure about the magenta one.

They’ve been through it, these strawberries. In a pot since destroyed by excited puppy, the strawberries made the treacherous move to hanging basket only to defy all the odds and grow into the most delicious strawberries Charlotte has ever eaten. Apparently. Personally, I think strawberries are crap, but there y’go.

Charlotte used to collect these leaves, because of the ridges.

I seem to be on a closeup kick the last couple of days. I might go walking somewhere I’ve not been before tonight – there’s got to be so much of this place I’ve never seen before.

You can get vegetarian sushi, which is pretty awesome. I never had sushi before; the idea of raw fish didn’t appeal. The idea of raw vegetables and sticky rice definitely does, though.

Lovely, quiet sit in the (now-funded!) St. James’ Park before walking to work with Charlotte.

A-wanderin’ Worcester

Went for a cool little wander in Worcester this morning. It’s been ages since I took my camera out properly. I’ve been saving loads of inspiration to a photo collection on a new site I’m working on and I think it’s really doing me some good! I love the every-day subjects you get in those slightly washed-out film photos. There’s nothing monumental going on, it’s just every day and I like that!

Charlotte is as tall as the flood was in 1948.

I found my first abandoned area. It’s pretty scary wandering round somewhere—especially when you hear someone leg it when you shout.
