Considering I had Monday off, this week has gone so slow.
I had a couple of photos on my camera camera but I accidentally deleted them in my half-awake state. Just a couple of macros; nothing inspired.
The 4 continues to impress me. App creators are really doing wonders with the camera, and I’ve now settled on a mix of Hipstamatic and Camera+ as a complete replacement for the native camera app. Camera+ could be a little quicker to respond, but you can’t argue with the results. Well, you could, but you’d be stupid to – they’re photos; they can’t argue back.
I’ve started having Sudo up with me whilst I work. It’s completely changed his behaviour – he’s a lot more chilled out most of the time now, and he’s really good company. I thought he’d be super annoying, but he sits quietly waiting for strokes and occasionally chases Amelie. So proud of this dog and all the praise he gets from strangers!
Amelie told me (through the medium of being a cat slag) that she’s sick of all these little cats and dogs having their photo taken. Why not her?! She can be just as cute as any of those other things (her words, not mine).
Yes, I am one of those people who talks to animals. And plants. And computers. And furniture. And food. Working from home can be lonely.
That’s it. I’ve spent too much time with a cake in my hand moaning that I’m getting fat[ter]. Time to replace the cake with a ball and the moaning with shortness of breath.
I have this photo minus cat, but I am working on a pseudo-code equation proving that adding a cat to any photograph improves it significantly.
We’ve decided to stop taking her with us when we go back home (providing our lovely friends are willing and able to feed her). She hates the car and she’s always weirded out by new surroundings. If she had her way, I think she’d have us move somewhere else and return at feeding time, but she’s not that lucky. Little diva.
Amelie needed a change of scenery, so she made the risky move from the top of my right speaker to my left shoulder and set up basecamp for 30 minutes. I sometimes wish there was a /var/log/weird_cat.log for cats.
Another stupid iPhone photos post.
Tasteful interior at puppy classes.

Amelie usually stands on my shoulders, but today she got comfortable, and freakish-eyed about why she could see her reflection in 2 places, I guess.

I don’t know if this is a cat thing, but she likes to hide behind things, but wonders where her tail has come from. Attacks usually ensue.

We want another cat. Amelie is basically petrified of everything, so we figure we can introduce her to our friends’ cats to get her used to it. Tonight, we had our first ever cat party. It was pretty tense at the start, but Monty, Zuma and Amelie were very well-behaved. Zuma was mostly indifferent.
Amelie was behaving quite oddly. She’d run to Monty, squeak, then hiss at him. Monty seemed unperturbed. Amelie appeared to enjoy showing her new friends around when she calmed down a bit.
