Sick.

I didn’t post a picture of the sick, though.

I got these – they’re pretty fun. You have to do this ghetto mod to your flashgun with a couple of thin strips of velcro. I like the light gold one, it’s kinda sepia-ey but only really subtle. I used it on the mushrooms to bring out that nice brown colour. The paler ones I think will be really useful, but I’m not sure about the magenta one.

I’ve switched to my 50mm for a little while. Thinking about selling the 24-70 and getting a 35mm prime – it’s like £1000 just sat in my camera bag most of the time. Seems such a waste.

They’ve been through it, these strawberries. In a pot since destroyed by excited puppy, the strawberries made the treacherous move to hanging basket only to defy all the odds and grow into the most delicious strawberries Charlotte has ever eaten. Apparently. Personally, I think strawberries are crap, but there y’go.

So much better than the crap you get in sweaty, sludgey bags at Sainsbury’s.

Had a really nice lunch at The Art House in Southampton. It’s great to eat somewhere and not have to care if things are vegetarian. Still have to ask about potatoes, though. Stupid potatoes.

I dislike everything about grapefruit, except the way it looks. It tastes like a mix of orange juice and earwax.

Remember what I said about a health kick? Well, in the new world order of rock-paper-scissors-lizard-spock, we’ve a new addition of raspberry-white-chocolate-cupcake that beats everything. It’s a little unfair, but life’s unfair.

I’m very lucky to have a wife who can cook. I am useless at cooking.
